Arizona offering new health care scholarship opportunities

The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and Maricopa County Community College District are offering 2 new scholarships for students interested in pursuing a career in behavioral health or home and community-based services (HCBS).

Who’s eligible for a scholarship?

Even if you’re already working in a health care setting, you may be able to take advantage of this opportunity.

The scholarships are open to students, health care workers and AHCCCS members who:

• Are pursuing a health care certificate or degree in an eligible health care program or course at any Maricopa Community College, and
• Agree to work, or continue working, in a behavioral health or HCBS setting after the completion of the academic program

What do the scholarships cover?

The scholarships cover the cost of:

• Tuition
• Books
• Course fees
• Other needed resources

How do I apply?

You can apply for the behavioral health or HCBS scholarship through Maricopa Community Colleges.
