Start integrating behavioral health into your primary care setting

Integrating behavioral health services into the primary care setting is often overlooked, but it’s a crucial part of managing population health and improving outcomes. That’s why we offer a free 3-part on-demand training series, Behavioral Health Identification, Treatment and Referral in Primary Care.

About the training

The series explores the best practices for bringing behavioral care into the primary care setting and is broken into 3 sessions:

  • Part 1: Mental Health Disorders and Follow-up after Higher Levels of Care
  • Part 2: Substance-Use Disorders in Primary Care
  • Part 3: Behavioral Health Treatment for Children and Adolescents with ADHD, Behavior Dysregulation or Severe Mental Illness

These sessions are designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners, social workers and psychologists who are interested in learning about pertinent topics in behavioral health. This includes screening, referrals, diagnoses and treatment for depression, along with the related aspects of HEDIS® measures.

Earn free continuing education credits

You can earn up to 1.50 Continuing Medical Education (CME)/Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD)/American Psychological Association (APA)/Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) credits for each session you complete, and there are no fees for participating in or receiving credit for this activity.
