Tribal Relations

Overview

The mission of the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Arizona Tribal Relations Program is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and responsiveness of UnitedHealthcare Community Plan as it relates to the ongoing service delivery care coordination to Arizona Tribal Nations and tribal members to help improve health outcomes for Indigenous communities all while building a foundation rooted in respect, honor, and trust.

Our UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Arizona Tribal Relations Program is comprised of our Tribal Liaison and our RN Clinical Tribal Coordinator. Our dedicated Tribal Liaison is responsible for overall tribal programming management and compliance with tribal-specific contractual deliverables. Our dedicated RN Clinical Tribal is responsible for addressing the needs from tribes and tribal members related to both physical & behavioral clinical-related matters including but not limited to service delivery care coordination of tribal members, clinical advocacy for tribal members, and assistance with care management for tribal members.

Our UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Arizona Tribal Relations Program serves as the primary point of contact for tribal nations, tribal health facilities, tribal affiliated entities, and state Medicaid agencies to help with any questions, comments, or concerns that might arise as well as to provide direct service delivery coordination and integrated clinical care coordination.

To further help educate both internal and external audiences, an indigenous tribal cultural competency training was created. The tribal-specific training includes an overview of the following:

  • UnitedHealthcare Community Plan Arizona Tribal Relations Program
