Nebraska Medicaid: MTM Health to manage non-emergency medical transportation requests

Effective Jan. 1, 2026, MTM Health will be the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) broker for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Nebraska. To help provide a smooth transition for your patients, MTM Health will be available to schedule member trips beginning Dec. 10, 2025.

 

How to make a reservation

The MTM Health member reservation line is available 24/7, 365 days a year for urgent, same- or next-day trips. Members can make a reservation one of the following ways:

 

Reservation requirements

  • Three business days’ notice is required for routine appointments
  • Critical care/urgent trips and discharges can be made same day
  • Advance 30-day booking and reoccurring trips available
  • Discharges can be requested as soon as discharge time is known; transportation provider should pick up a discharged member within 180 minutes
  • Transportation providers should pick up a will-call return ride within 60 minutes

 

Need to cancel or make schedule changes to a trip? Please notify MTM Health as soon as possible.

Additional information

  • Members are allowed 1 additional passenger
  • Trip confirmations/reminders will be received the day prior to the appointment 
  • Door-to-door service can be requested at trip intake if needed
