01.09.2026 - Medicaid: On Dec. 10, 2025, North Carolina announced the reversal of the Medicaid reimbursement rate reductions that went into effect Oct. 1, 2025. The state published the updated NC Medicaid Direct fee schedules on Jan. 5, 2026, to align with the Medicaid reimbursement rates on Sept. 30, 2025. Health plans have 45 days to implement the updated fee schedules into their systems, then an additional 30 days to reprocess impacted claims.
